Win 7 Beta 1 targeted for Dec 12 Sep 08

Microsoft plans a little Christmas present for all its users, with Windows 7 Beta 1 on track to be released a week before Christmas. Nothing is written in stone or has been officially announced yet, but inside sources are reporting December for the launch. Microsoft is planning on a Connect Beta program for Windows 7, so testers, keep your eyes open for something to come in the following months involving a possible beta.

“When we release the Windows 7 beta, we will also collect feedback from this (Windows Feedback) panel and ask for participation from a set of Windows 7 beta users. Our current plans call for signing up for the beta to happen in the usual Microsoft manner on Connect. Stay tuned!”

We also offer all Alabama forms and legal templates, including business agreements and personal documents, customized to adhere to the state's laws.

Financial and Sale Documents

The bill of sale in Alabama is a legal receipt that documents the transfer of ownership of an item from one party to another. It typically lists the item's description, the sale price, and the names of both the buyer and the seller, ensuring a clear record of the transaction for personal or business property.

For vehicle-specific transactions, the Alabama motor vehicle bill of sale includes crucial information such as the vehicle's make, model, and VIN, alongside the transaction details like sale price and date. This document is essential for the new owner to register the car under their name in Alabama.

The Alabama trailer bill of sale documents the sale of a trailer, providing a detailed description of the trailer, the sale price, and details of both parties involved. This ensures a smooth transfer of ownership and helps fulfill state registration requirements.

The Alabama promissory note is a binding legal document where one party promises to pay a specific amount of money to another party under agreed-upon terms. This note details the principal amount, interest rate, repayment schedule, and what happens in case of default. It is often used in personal loans, business financing, or real estate transactions to formalize the borrower's obligation to repay the lender according to the stipulated conditions.

Legal Instruments and Estate Planning

The last will and testament in Alabama is a document that outlines how an individual’s assets should be distributed after their death. It includes designations for executors who will manage the estate and directives for distributing possessions, ensuring that the individual's final wishes are legally upheld.

A life estate deed in Alabama, or transfer-on-death-deed, establishes a property arrangement where one party holds the property during their lifetime before it automatically passes to a designated remainderman upon death. This deed helps avoid probate and ensures the property is transferred according to the grantor’s wishes.

Powers of Attorney and Directives

The power of attorney in Alabama grants a designated person the authority to handle specific legal, financial, or medical decisions on behalf of the grantor. The scope of this document can vary widely based on the needs and preferences of the person it represents, covering anything from banking transactions to healthcare decisions.

More specifically, the Alabama durable power of attorney enables an agent to make decisions on behalf of the principal even if the principal becomes incapacitated. This enduring attribute makes it an essential tool for long-term planning.

In health-related matters, the medical power of attorney in Alabama authorizes someone to make medical decisions on the principal’s behalf should they become unable to make those decisions themselves. This is crucial for ensuring healthcare providers follow patients' preferences in critical situations.

Lease Agreements and Property Notices

The Alabama lease agreement outlines the terms on which one party agrees to rent property from another. It includes the rental amount, lease duration, and tenant and landlord obligations, which are essential for residential or commercial rentals.

An eviction notice in Alabama informs tenants that they must either rectify a lease violation or vacate the property. This notice specifies the nature of the breach and the timeframe for correction or eviction, serving as the initial step in the legal eviction process.

Real Estate Transfers

The quitclaim deed in Alabama is often used to transfer property quickly and without warranty between parties who trust each other, such as family members. This deed transfers the interest the owner has in the property without guaranteeing a clear title, making it a straightforward but limited tool for property transactions.

The Alabama living will provides directives for end-of-life care, allowing individuals to outline their medical treatment preferences in situations where they cannot communicate their wishes. This document ensures that the individual’s healthcare choices are respected during critical moments.

Microsoft Releases New Mice9th Sep 08

Over the years, mice have progressed in technology. First, we had the ball, which was a pain to clean. Then Optical mice came along and immediately changed all of the mice on the market. For the past few years, more and more mice have been adopting a new technology, Laser. But now, Microsoft has invented a new technology, BlueTrack.

"The new tracking tech uses a (surprise!) blue beam and wide-angle "specular optics architecture" to work on a wider range of surfaces than traditional optical or Laser mice, including granite, marble, and even carpet. The new tech will debut in two new mice: a revised wireless Microsoft Explorer Mouse and that Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse we'd already spotted."

However, Microsoft isn't ready to let go of Optical quite yet - they're still releasing new mice the older technology:

"...the company's hardware division also took the wraps off that Arc Mouse we spotted back in July and the new Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000. The two-part wireless Arc Mouse isn't just pure fashion -- the folding design allows it to flip closed for easy storage and portability and unfolds to full size when in use. Sadly, it doesn't get the hot new BlueTrack tech but uses a traditional optical sensor instead -- but the 2.4GHz connection provides a 30-foot range. The Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 is your basic travel optical mouse, but it'll get six months out of one AA battery. Both of these should be out this month -- the Arc Mouse will come in black and red for $60, while the Mobile Mouse 3000 will come in black and white for $30..."

Microsoft Kicks off New Windows Campaign5th Sep 08

“This is the Conquistador,” explains Jerry Seinfeld, showing a befuddled Bill Gates, a brown loafer. “They run very tight.”

After seeing the new ad from Microsoft, which debuted today, some may wonder what Jerry Seinfeld helping Bill Gates pick out a new pair of shoes has to do with software. In the classic Seinfeld sense of the word, the answer is nothing.

Nevertheless, the spot is the first and most visible sign of an ambitious effort by Microsoft’s Windows business to reconnect with consumers around the globe.

One of the things immediately noticeable in the latest beta (beta 2) of Internet Explorer 8 was how much faster it was. I thought I'd see for myself how much faster it is by running a JavaScript benchmark since that is one thing that has slowed down IE in comparison to its competitors. Google has put a benchmark it used while creating its Chrome browser live on the web, but it also lets us see how IE8 stacks up against its predecessor. So I ran it.

I ran the test on a 2.8GHz P4 running Windows Vista.

As you can see, IE8 is about 36% faster than IE7 in JavaScript! While it's a good improvement, we can still see that work needs to be done, and it will surely increase with every beta release we see of IE8.
